These disclosures are important for you, individuals representing brands, fashion designers and principals (hereinafter referred to as the "Brands") on the one hand or representing French fashion & clothing manufacturers and façonniers, service providers, suppliers of materials and components (hereinafter referred to as the "Manufacturers") on the other hand they allow us to inform you about the existence of your rights concerning your personal data (hereinafter referred to as your "Data") and how we use your Data.

To enable you to browse the https://www.maisondusavoirfaire.com (hereinafter referred to as the "Site") and to benefit from the matchmaking services of the Manufacturers' platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), we are required to process your Data in the ways set out below, by implementing the appropriate technical and organizational measures in compliance with personal data protection law resulting in particular from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the "RGPD") and Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms as amended.

Certain terms below are defined in the RGPD and we invite you to refer to Article 4 of this text RGPD.

1. The data controller and its data protection delegate

La Maison du Savoir-Faire et de la Création (hereinafter referred to as the "MSFC"), a public-interest structure funded by the DEFI (Comité de Développement et de Promotion de l'Habillement) and serving players in the fashion and clothing industry, is responsible for processing your Data. The MSFC is affiliated to the Union Française des Industries Mode et Habillement (UFIMH, a trade association created in accordance with the law of March 21, 1884 registered with the Préfecture de Paris under SIRET number 784 178 493 00028), represented by Mrs Sylvie Chailloux, in her capacity as President and whose registered office is located at 8 rue Montesquieu, 75001 Paris.

The MSFC has appointed a personal data referent to deal with questions relating to the protection of personal data, who can be contacted by e-mail at msfc[point]donneespersonnellesatlamodefrancaise[point]org (msfc[dot]donneespersonnelles[at]lamodefrancaise[dot]org)

2. Processing of your personal data

We collect your Data when you:

  • register your identity for the purpose of benefiting from the services accessible via the Platform. This collection includes all the information required to create your Brand or Manufacturer account (such as your first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address),
  • inform your Manufacturers listing to be present on the Platform
  • participate in the Manufacturers forum accessible on the Site as soon as your company listing is validated
  • subscribe to the MSFC newsletter and express your preferences on newsletter subscriptions, information, prospecting messages from Manufacturers registered on the Platform
  • navigate the Site if you accept the deposit of cookies
  • contact MSFC, via the Site's contact form, by telephone or during meetings outside the Site, notably at trade shows.

The natural person contacts of the Brands and Manufacturers registered on the Site (these two typologies of actors being hereinafter referred to as the "Members") as well as visitors subscribed to the newsletter and/or who have completed the Site's contact form are concerned by these processing operations.

We process your Data to achieve the purposes and aims of MSFC set out on the Site and/or indicated in the following table:

Activity no. 1: Contribute to the MSFC's aim of listing all Manufacturers who illustrate the savoir-faire (industrial and artisanal) related to fashion and clothing by enabling Members to create their account and Manufacturers to create their company sheet visible on the Platform, under the supervision of the registration process by the MSFC.

Activity n°2: manage the data of the Manufacturers' files visible on the Platform and their updating

Activity n°3: moderate the Manufacturers' forum, in cases that justify it for the proper functioning of this place of information exchange, with the possibility of deleting a discussion

Activity n°4: manage the operation of the Platform to enable contact and exchange between Members

Activity n°5: manage the animation of the Platform with Members as part of a CRM strategy, in particular by sending e-mails to Manufacturers to update their company profile and measure Member satisfaction

Execution of the contract (GCU)

Activity n°6: manage the animation of the community of Members and visitors subscribed to the newsletter and invitations to events (organized in particular via social networks)

Activity n°7: manage relations with visitors subscribed to the newsletter and/or who have filled in a contact form on a purely administrative level (deletion of contacts, updates etc.).)

Legitimate interest pursued by MSFC

Passwords enabling Members to identify themselves in order to log in to their account are not known to MSFC.

3. Recipients of your data

We do not share your Data with third parties except in the following specific circumstances:

  • To o2switch, host and subcontractor within the meaning of Article 28 of the RGPD;
  • To our web master, Metropolitan Neo 6, cité de l'Ameublement, 75011 Paris, subcontractor within the meaning of Article 28 of the RGPD;
  • To DEFI (funding body), which has access to the entire Manufacturers database.

These recipients use your Data exclusively for the sole purposes set out in the contract they have each signed with MSFC.

In addition, MSFC communicates Data from the Manufacturers' files visible on the Platform to brands and organizations specifically looking for a French manufacturer, subject to having received the prior agreement of each Manufacturer concerned.

In all the cases referred to above, our requirement for a high level of confidentiality and security of your Data applies.

4. How long your Data is kept

Your Data is collected by MSFC for the time necessary to achieve the purposes of the processing referred to in paragraph 2 of this document. The main categories of Data collected by MSFC are kept for the following durations:

(1) This data is accessible only to MSFC operational staff who need it as part of their activities.

(2) This data is accessible only to legal, accounting and financial teams for the defense of La MSFC's rights and interests and to meet La MSFC's legal obligations.

5. Your rights with regard to the processing of your DCP

You may at any time make requests to exercise your rights to the personal data referent by email to msfc[point]donneespersonnellesatlamodefrancaise[point]org or by post addressed to La MSFC, 8 rue Montesquieu, 75001 Paris we ask you to indicate the email address attached to your account on the Site, (or use it in the case of a request by email) as well as your first and last name.

In the event that you are unable to find the e-mail address attached to your Member account on the Site or in the event that you are unsure of your identity, we may ask you for additional information relating to your identity in accordance with Article 12 of the RGPD to enable us to identify you without error.

We will send you a reply within a maximum of one (1) month following the date of receipt of your request. This period may be extended by a further two (2) months in view of the complexity and number of requests we receive.

For the sake of transparency, you will find below a presentation of your rights.

Right of access: you have the right to obtain confirmation that your Data is actually being processed and access to said Data.
Right of rectification: you may request the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete Data concerning you (for example, an incorrect address).
Right of opposition: you may object to our processing of your Data based on our legitimate interest, in particular when sending newsletters
Right of deletion: you have the right to ask us to delete your Data in particular in the following cases:
- you have exercised your rights of opposition under the conditions mentioned in the previous paragraph;
- your Data must be deleted to comply with a new legal obligation.
The right to portability: you may request the communication of the Data you have provided to us for the performance of the contract (GTU) with us, but also the transmission of the Data to a third party of your choice, in a machine-readable format.
Right to limitation: you have the right to ask us to temporarily suspend the use of some of your Data, in particular when:
- you dispute the accuracy of your Data for the period of time necessary for us to verify its accuracy,
- you consider that we are unlawfully processing some of your Data,
- in the event that you exercise your right to object during the period of vérification as to whether the legitimate reasons we are pursuing override your interests or your fundamental rights and freedoms.
The right to formulate post-mortem directives: you have the right to formulate specific and general post-mortem directives concerning the retention, erasure and communication of your Data. In the absence of any directive, your heirs may contact MSFC in order to:
- access Data processing allowing "the organization and settlement of the deceased's estate"
- and/or have your account on the Platform closed and/or oppose the continued processing of your Data.
The right to complain: you may, at any time, lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr)

In the event that you exercise the aforementioned rights over your Data, MSFC may be required to keep it in intermediate archival form for the period necessary to satisfy its legal obligations.

In the event that you exercise any of your rights, we will alert you in advance to the possible consequences of this exercise on our relationship.

6. Cookies

This section is dedicated to our cookie management policy on the Site. It enables you to find out more about the origin and use of browsing information processed when you visit the Site, and about your rights.

6.1 What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer's hard disk by the Site you are visiting, subject to your consent with the exception of necessary cookies. They are widely used to make the Site function more efficiently. Some of these cookies have the function of drawing consequences from your browsing, to help our teams improve the functioning of the Site and select content.

6.3 Responsibilities related to cookies

MSFC is responsible for the issue and use of cookies by it on the Site.

Cookies issued by third-party companies: the issue and use of cookies by third parties on the Site (Vimeo and YouTube), are subject to the privacy policies of these third parties. These cookies are not essential for browsing the Site. The Site integrates the technologies of these third parties, which enable recognition of your connection terminal and data relating to your browsing on your connection terminal in order to view the videos on the Site.

6.4 Managing the deposit of cookies

In accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC of July 12, 2002, MSFC collects your prior consent to the deposit of cookies except for "essential" cookies. You can choose at any time to express and modify your wishes with regard to cookies, by the means described below.
