The 2026 edition of the City of Paris Grand Prix honors eight winners in the fields of design, fashion, and professions, who will receive a prize of 18,000 euros as well as exclusive opportunities to collaborate with partners. This provided an opportunity for Anouch Toranian, deputy to the capital’s new mayor in charge of commerce, crafts, and the liberal professions, to underscore the city’s continued commitment to design despite budgetary constraints.
Nathalie Dufour, founder of ANDAM (National Association for the Development of Fashion Arts), explains the benefits of the prestigious awards—which include financial support and mentoring—that she launched for designers. Backed by the entire French fashion ecosystem, these awards foster lasting ties with the French garment making industry.
In mid-February, Les Ateliers de Paris launched a new call for projects to select fifteen fashion, design and arts and crafts incubators.
In the midst of the frantic rhythm of the seasons, designer BURC AKYOL claims a different tempo: that of gesture and language. In his Parisian atelier, he champions tailoring of rare precision, accompanied by the suppleness of flou / soft dressmaking to conceive of clothing as an extension of the body. Each design is a space where tension and softness, desire and restraint, are woven together. For him, couture is not a fashion, but a way of inhabiting the world.
Possery, a young Parisian brand founded in 2023, redefines the codes of leather by offering contemporary pieces in vibrant colors, crafted with exceptional savoir-faire. Specializing in cowhide, leather and velvet goatskin, the company combines craftsmanship and modernity to offer designs designed for assertive, free-spirited women.
Right from the start, Charles de Vilmorin imposed a unique, multidimensional vision of fashion. At just 23 years of age, he launched his own brand and was noticed for his hand-painted designs, with their theatrical volumes and vibrant colors. Inspired by the world of Tim Burton and the performing arts, he developed a style where fashion dialogues with drawing, music and the stage. His singular approach quickly won over enthusiasts and major Home brands alike, establishing his presence on the Parisian scene.
